Xue Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University. Her research focuses on the social and structural determinants of health and health disparities. Her current research employs a socioecological framework to examine multilevel (individual, community, and state) and multidimensional (age-friendly planning, community services, and environment) factors that shape individual and population health outcomes. Her work integrates planning, physical and social environment, and services to identify community-level prevention and intervention strategies that promote health equity.
