tRUST-lab (Regenerating Urban Spaces + Terrain) is an academic platform that connects theoretical work with on-the-ground engagement and people, via workshops, research, and partnerships to delve into critical issues facing Rust Belt cities, with Cleveland, Ohio as the original and ongoing case study.

Trust-lab is CO-directed by MITCH GLASS, LECTURER AND SOPHIE OLDFIELD, PROFESSOR AND CHAIR OF CITY & REGIONAL PLANNING at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.

Founded through design studios based in Cleveland, tRUST-lab grew from ongoing collaborations between Cornell students, faculty, and community partners. The city continues to serve as both an anchor and testing ground, offering insight into the broader challenges and opportunities of post-industrial regeneration.
