The Lab works on the water to waste cycle across actionable scales from source protection to household access. It connects knowledge to action for governments, policymakers, and urban change agents to create more equitable and sustainable urban water management systems that move water through cities to communities and households and back to the natural environment.

Water in, Water Out Lab is directed by Victoria A. Beard, Professor and Associate Dean of Research Initiatives at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning.
