If you're interested in learning more about the Adaptive Land Lab, please the lab director, Linda Shi (lindashi@cornell.edu). In the past, we have collaborated with academics across the U.S. and internationally, local and regional governments, and nonprofit organizations. The Adaptive Land Lab is always looking for student researchers with diverse skills in research, writing, and spatial analysis skills. If you are interested in working for the lab, please share your CV and areas of interest. I have worked with Ph.D. students at Cornell and other institutions, but please note I have no funded doctoral research positions at this time, and all applicants must apply through the Cornell doctoral admissions process

If you are with the media, I can provide journalists with a perspective on how climate change affects cities and how they are adapting, especially to flood risk. Specific topics include: climate inequality and injustice, for instance, displacement + gentrification; impact of the scale at which we plan – local to regional to national; comparative U.S. + international perspectives; government policies and institutions for land use + development planning, property buyouts, taxation, managed retreat; and green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and ecological restoration.
