Research Assistant

Paul Corsi is a fellow at the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) concentrating in Environmental Policy. Prior to Cornell, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College. His interests lie in developing comprehensive policy solutions to address climate change, food insecurity, and sustainable development at the local, national, and international level. Paul has worked with small scale farmers in the US, Nepal, and the Galapagos Islands on a variety of projects to improve local food systems and to advocate for farmers and the communities that rely on small scale agriculture.  In addition, Paul has worked with the National Park Service, State Parks of California, and Ithaca College Natural Lands on projects that increase public access to natural areas while protecting unique natural features and invaluable ecological services.

In the Adaptive Land Lab, he works on the Equitable Buyouts project, organizing and implementing focus group discussions with buyouts managers, and conducting literature reviews on the extent to which floodplain buyout programs address the full range of socio-ecological relationships.
