Dan Bergsagel

Visiting Scholar - Structural Engineering

Dan Bergsagel is a structural engineer and academic focused on making the construction industry more sustainable. At CCL, he is interested in developing and normalizing design for deconstruction and facilitating the reuse of structural materials.

Dan is an engineer in schlaich bergermann partner’s New York City office, an Adjunct Professor in structures at Kean University’s School of Public Architecture in New Jersey, and a co-founder and director of educational non-profit Scale Rule. He studied at the University of Cambridge and École Centrale Paris and has previously worked and taught in London at AKT II, University College London and the Architectural Association. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK.
