M.ARCH CORNELL AAP - ARCHITECTURE

Akua Appiah-Adu is an M. Arch Student at Cornell AAP. Her interests lie in redefining architecture to consider psychological, physiological, sociological, and cultural aspects to make every community feel valued. She believes some of the ways this can be done include but are not limited to providing social housing, designing buildings to reduce their negative impact on the environment and not just greenwashing, preserving the identity of historic sites, and designing spaces to accommodate all types of people with different races, genders, ages, physical capabilities, and income groups. She is also interested in the longevity and reusability of complete structures or materials from the inception of the design process.
