Elias Kann

Researcher

Elias is a Masters of Regional Planning student at Cornell University. Elias' research and studies focus on climate adaptation and affordable housing. He is interested in local governance and adaptation solutions that prioritize equity in the built environment. 

As a researcher in the Adaptive Land Lab, Elias provides research, graphic design, and grant writing support across a wide range of projects including A Northeast Safe and Thriving for All (Shi, 2023).

Before Cornell, Elias worked at a refugee resettlement agency, first as a housing specialist, providing housing placements and creating provider networks, then as a Department of Justice Accredited Representative, providing legal advice and representation to the refugee and immigrant community in Maine
