Seminar - Bamboo Tactics: Mixed-reality Design and Making for Bamboo Material
Spring 2022
SPECIAL TOPIC IN CONSTRUCTION AND VISUAL REPRESENTATION
The course investigated novel sustainable building practices by coupling augmented reality (AR) technologies with bamboo as a renewable building material. Material and building component explorations utilized mixed-reality protocols that could be deployed by local labor and communities within a low-tech setting. Thus, radically transforming how we can urbanize and construct our future urban and rural environments and to create much-needed innovations in mass-customized construction methods.
