Francheska Reed

B.ARCH.'24 | CORNELL ARCHITECTURE

Francheska is a fifth-year B.Arch. candidate at Cornell University with a concentration in Architectural Theory and a minor in Law & Society. Frankie is passionate about housing, community development and civil rights. She is an Operations Manager of the Tenants Legal Hotline at Cornell Law School, and was previously an Affordable Housing Intern with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). During her time at HUD, Frankie assisted the Office of Community Planning and Development in administering its affordable housing programs and their corresponding relocation/real estate, finance, and program policy divisions. Prior to that, she was the 2022 Nicholas E. Vlattas Summer Scholar at Virginia-based architecture and planning firm Hanbury. While at Hanbury, Frankie conducted research and design proposals for flood-resilient housing and mixed-use ecotourism development on the coast of rural Virginia. Frankie has also worked as a Program Assistant for Cornell’s Office of Housing and Residential Life to serve 200 incoming first-year students participating in the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars Program.
